Here is #5 Daring Do as promised. Reference drawn by :iconpiranhaplant1: [link] Daring Do can be seen in season 2 episode 16 Read it and Weep.

Another good looking piece, perhaps a little bright on the greens at most. I thankfully had six different shades of greys + black to pull off her mane, and if you notice in the time-lapse, I originally thought I could get away with coloring the outline this dark green/brown and started using a lighter green/brown for the body but I eventually caved and decided to just go out and buy the correct colors for the outline and body because those greenish colors where just too far off from Daring's yellow/brown coat. It took me two hours to cut out the horrible green outline plus another eight to put back in the more correct brownish/yellow, totally worth every hour. So now I am stuck with a lot of extra thread of Daring's coat and there are no other characters that I can think of that use it, so expect a few more of her in the future?

An old friend of mine just got back from a month long vacation in Vietnam. He came bearing gifts of embroideries from the famous XQ Dalat Su Quan Embroidery School. I got a neat 4x6 flower embroidery while he got himself an expensive old man smoking. I plan on spending a lot of time looking at these plus all of the picture he took of the various galleries to try and unlock and find how they can make such realistic looking embroideries. I will upload pics of these masterpieces next week to help fill in the void #6 will likely create.

This one took me 87 hours to complete (but also the smallest in terms of square inches), 77 if I where to make it again. 12x16 just like the others. Still need to buy those spotlights to brighten up my pictures and a tripod to make them less wobbly... Onward to #6!

Yes, all by hand. This particular one was done over 3-4 or so weekends. The other ones before Daring Do where all done continuously over 11ish 8-10 hour days, a time before I had a job and had lots of free time. Now-a-days I only get any decent amount of time to work on these on the weekends.
